The Pierrette | Women's Cropped Double-Breasted Check Coat sets a windowpane check across a cropped double-breasted body that finishes at the hip, with a wide notch lapel and two rows of buttons. Flap pockets sit low on the front and the sleeve runs full to a plain cuff. The shoulder is cut slightly wide.
A Coat Proportioned Like a Jacket
Cropping a double-breasted coat to the hip makes it work with high-waisted trousers in a way a full-length one cannot. The check is scaled large enough to read clearly on a short body. Everything else is conventional coat tailoring.
How to Wear It
