The panels are large enough to read as a pattern in their own right, and the sleeve carries the same scale to the cuff. Deep pockets are set into the side seams.

Quilting in large panels means fewer seams and a smoother outer line, so the coat looks less padded than it is. The stand collar rises high enough to cover the chin when zipped. At mid-calf it covers almost anything worn underneath.
How to Wear It
